Granados Named Student of the Week

Granados Named Student of the WeekBy Shannon Smith         Freshman Estephani Granados has been selected as Greene Central’s Student of the Week for the third week in June.        Granados was nominated by Malissa Harris because she is very dependable and creative while always being willing to help her fellow classmates.        “Estephani works extremely hard at everything she does. She has not been in this country very long, but her English skills have grown dramatically because of all her hard work and effort,” said Harris.        This semester Granados is taking English 9, Teen Living, Earth Science, and English as a Second Language.         “My favorite class is ESL because it helps me with my class work and homework,” said Granados.        She is still deciding which college she’d like to attend, but knows that she would like to become a psychologist.        “My family inspired me to want to become a psychologist. I’d like to help teenagers through their rough years,” commented Granados.        She was a member of the Junior Beta Club at Greene County Middle School.        In Granados’ free time, she likes to listen to pop music and talk on the phone.        She is the daughter of Victor Granados and Gabriela Contreras of Snow Hill.
